Happy Friday, indeed! #FreeVideoFriday is back and this one's a very special treat: Day 1 of Kassandra Reinhardt's 14 Day Yin & Yang Yoga Challenge. It's a 2 week program for a stronger, leaner, more stress-free you... Yes, please!
Are you a horny yogi? Mo the Unicorn wants to see your best pose...with a unicorn horn, of course!
Who exactly is Mo the Unicorn?
Well, we're glad you asked. On this grand occasion we're introducing Mo the Unicorn as MOJO's official mascot! You know by now that having some MOJO working in your life is pretty magical and, well, so is Mo. We hope you'll love him as much as we do, and we think his first contest is a great way to welcome him to the MOJO community.
Now, what about this contest...?
This week's most popular episode presents for us a topic that is hopefully as helpful for you as it has been for me, especially as we start to enter the grind period of the year: where we feel pretty far from our new year’s goal setting and still so far from the finish line. Whenever I start to drag and want to quit, or happen to tumble right of the good life wagon altogether, I just remind myself of the essence of this post. We might be damned if we do, but we’ll most certainly be damned if we don’t. So we might as well do, and get our mojo working once more!
This week, we bring you another super special treat in the form of a free peek into the Find Your MOJO Challenge!
We hope you enjoy doing today's challenge. And if you do, come join us for the full course, which you can start and work on anytime, at your own pace! There are 2 ways to join:
This week, we bring you another super special treat in the form of a free peek into the Find Your MOJO Challenge! Today's exercise is to give mojo to someone else in the form of random acts of kindness. So, watch today's challenge video and listen to The MOJO Show to learn more about how you can give mojo to others today.
The Find Your MOJO Challenge is in full swing, and we are so loving this opportunity to share with you, the MOJO Mob, our strategies for helping you design life the way you intend to live it…and making that life a reality every day! We’re so pumped on this challenge in fact, that we’ve suspended our normal content plan. That’s right. We figured, we’re putting so much work into this challenge, and the tips and guidance we’re offering within it are so valuable…why the heck would we feature anything else right now?
At the start of a new year our thoughts often turn to the things to which we feel true devotion: our loved ones, our health, our happiness, and our dreams. We have so many things we’d like to accomplish, experience, and bring to fruition in this one life! And thoughts like these are why such a phenomenon as “new year’s resolutions” even exists. Yet, we all know the dismal success rate of those strobe light intentions, as I’m going to start calling them. You know, they’re mostly momentary flashes of brilliance surrounded by oceans of darkness. So, if our “resolutions” are sparked by the things to which we feel deep devotion and for which we have long desired, why do we often so utterly fail at keeping up with them?
Ever feel a little like Austin Powers there? Of course, I’m not talking exclusively about the sexy kind of mojo he’s missing, but instead about all the mojo that fuels your life: the kind of mojo that makes every moment worthy of a “Yeah, baby!” You know by now that this is really what we’re all about here at MOJO: helping you find your mojo to create a life you love to live.
Eleanor Roosevelt said that we’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t, so I say we might as well do! You see, this absolutely applies to our efforts to create the MOJO Life: the happy, healthy lifestyle of our dreams. It’s damn hard to do the little things every single day that it takes to build the ideal lifestyles we hold in our hearts: it takes a lot of effort and will to sustain forward progress. Oftentimes, our brains tell us it might be easier to just wallow in our old crappy habits; after all, they’ve become so fitted to our form over time. Yet, we all know by now that those old habits always leave us feeling disappointed, or worse. So, when confronted with the choice to do or don’t do, yes, in a sense we are damned either way we go. Fortunately, we also know in our heart of hearts that when we do manage to do even a little bit of our happiness practices, we’re always left feeling, well, happier. The damnation of doing, therefore, has a leg up because it leads to salvation! Glory hallelujah!
Why fun with yoga? Well, we know firsthand how easy it can be to find ourselves taking our yoga (and ourselves) so seriously that the joy gets drained right out of our efforts. "Why is joy so important?" you ask in a curmudgeonly tone. Well, grumpy pants, because we'll never stick with anything that doesn't bring us joy. And if we want to have healthy habits, like yoga, for the rest of our long and happy lives, we have to be sure we're always seeking the fun in them.
