The Find Your MOJO Challenge is in full swing, and we are so loving this opportunity to share with you, the MOJO Mob, our strategies for helping you design life the way you intend to live it…and making that life a reality every day! We’re so pumped on this challenge in fact, that we’ve suspended our normal content plan. That’s right. We figured, we’re putting so much work into this challenge, and the tips and guidance we’re offering within it are so valuable…why the heck would we feature anything else right now?
At the start of a new year our thoughts often turn to the things to which we feel true devotion: our loved ones, our health, our happiness, and our dreams. We have so many things we’d like to accomplish, experience, and bring to fruition in this one life! And thoughts like these are why such a phenomenon as “new year’s resolutions” even exists. Yet, we all know the dismal success rate of those strobe light intentions, as I’m going to start calling them. You know, they’re mostly momentary flashes of brilliance surrounded by oceans of darkness. So, if our “resolutions” are sparked by the things to which we feel deep devotion and for which we have long desired, why do we often so utterly fail at keeping up with them?
As the calendar year 2015 comes to close, we pause to reflect…on how the hell this year went by so fast! Well, at least that’s what I’m thinking. While each year seems to fly by faster than the next, we can feel like we’re struggling just to keep pace and accomplish something, anything that we set out to do in a reasonable space of time. That’s one of the biggest reasons why we started the practicing lifestyle design in our own lives: so we could take some conscious control over the shape of our lives, and start living the lifestyle of our dreams rather than muddling through life as it’s handed to us
Ever feel a little like Austin Powers there? Of course, I’m not talking exclusively about the sexy kind of mojo he’s missing, but instead about all the mojo that fuels your life: the kind of mojo that makes every moment worthy of a “Yeah, baby!” You know by now that this is really what we’re all about here at MOJO: helping you find your mojo to create a life you love to live.
Alright, we’ve cleaned house and cleared up our big visions and goals for the rest of this year so we can end this year with more of our MOJO Life at hand than we’ve ever had before. But, now that we have all this stuff in mind we want to do, and much of it every day at that, how do we begin to prioritize things so we can actually do what we dream of in our daily lives?
That's right, yoga gave me a better butt. I say this not merely in reference to my much stronger physique from yoga, though that is a lovely perk. Rather, I'm referring to the trade I made with yoga that turned out to be one of the best deals of my life. I offered up the butts of my smoking habit to yoga and not only did it happily accept my offering, but also gave me, among many other wonderful things, that better butt in return. I've spoken briefly of my success with smoking cessation through yoga, but I feel compelled to write about it in more detail at the moment. Perhaps I can share something that will be useful to my fellow smoking cessation warriors out there.

Well, here we are at the end of another calendar year. If the adage holds that time goes faster as we get older, I must be something like 108 years old because this year flew!
I was chatting with a friend about the coming change of annum, and mentioned that my household does a yearly review and sets goals for the new year. She surprised me by saying that she and her family don’t give a flip about the new year or reviewing the old one, that they just “float along” through the years. Wha-wha-what???
