This week, we’re harkening back to our first yoga challenge and bringing out of the library one of my personal favorites from that event: The Burt. This pose named for the sage Burt Reynolds is a variation on Pigeon Pose as a forward bend that helps us protect our knees while opening our hips, and keep a good measure of silliness to facilitate that openness. Practice this pose with us here on the blog for free this week, and ever after you’ll have it in the 30 Day Fun With Yoga Challenge, always available to Members in the MOJO Member Space.

Ever feel a little like Austin Powers there? Of course, I’m not talking exclusively about the sexy kind of mojo he’s missing, but instead about all the mojo that fuels your life: the kind of mojo that makes every moment worthy of a “Yeah, baby!” You know by now that this is really what we’re all about here at MOJO: helping you find your mojo to create a life you love to live. Yoga is the gateway to your MOJO Life, yes. However, a well-rounded, full life is a multi-faceted diamond, with layer upon layer of fine details that once bound together sparkle and shine for the long haul. And that, my friends, is why we’re inviting you to take a real challenge to charge into this new year ahead.
From January 1 - 31, join us for the Find Your MOJO Challenge!
More than the pose-a-day kind of challenge, this is a lifestyle design challenge that will guide you on a program we’ve tested, practiced, and refined to help us build our own MOJO Life, and we know it will help you progress in your dream life, too. But be forewarned: it ain’t going to be easy, that’s for sure! Creating the lifestyle of your dreams will always seem in many ways to be much harder than just living the status quo kind of life. After all, it feels easier to go with the flow of the herd, doesn’t it? However cliché it might sound, though, it’s undoubtedly true that none of us wants to leave this life thinking, “I wish had done…” Aren’t there just so many things you would really love to do, and love to do on a daily basis, that you just can’t seem to find time to do? Don’t you have at least one dream that seems like it’ll always just stay that way, never to find fruition? Why aren’t you going for it? What really keeps you from doing the things you really love more often? For us, it was not having enough time, or enough money, or enough power, or enough focus. But, what if I told you that all those things we thought we lacked were just that: thoughts? When we started to work on those thoughts, and shift our mindset from one of scarcity and lack to one of gratitude, vision, and creativity, we started to see how to clear the dirt from the path that lay right at our feet, leading us onward and upward to the very life we really and truly wanted to live. And so, the Find Your MOJO Challenge will be your opportunity to walk with us on this day-to-day practice of creating more mojo for ourselves and our lives. Each day will present you with a new challenge, working with topics such as:
- Goals and Action Plans
- Time Management
- Creating Your Living Space
- Healthy Eating
- Self Care
- and of course, plenty of Yoga!

So, what now while we wait with bated breath for the challenge to begin? Meditate on it and prepare yourself for the changes you’re about to make happen in your life, of course. This won’t be easy, so store up your resolve now. Finish up this year’s goals the best you can (we’ll talk about that more before this year is done, I promise!). Start getting clear on your “Why?” because anyone with a good enough can reason can take on any action. Make the commitment to yourself to challenge your limitations, put in some good practice to create new habits, and really get your mojo working more than ever before in the new year.
