Whether you realize it or not, we give ourselves prescriptions for better health and well-being, perhaps even more mojo, all the time. Be it a new exercise routine, or an eating habit, a financial budget, a morning routine, or even…a yoga challenge, we can always come up with an idea and a plan for some form of “medicine” that we believe will better ourselves. Just think about it: how many prescriptions for more mojo have you come up with for yourself this year?
We're baaaack! That's right, after a brief hiatus to work our butts off and recover from a ridiculously long "big push," The MOJO Show is back online! This episode is an interview we recorded at the end of our time in Honolulu, with special guest Tara Rudolf.
Tara is the founder of tararudolf.com, and also happens to be one of the newest additions to the MOJO Yoga international teacher community!
This week we're exceedingly honored to have with us on The MOJO Show special guest Margot Schmorak. She's the CEO and Co-founder of Hostfully, offering personalized guidebooks for vacation rental owners. Now, Margot is pretty darn special in general, but what makes her really special for us is that she's the only other female founder in our cohort here at Blue Startups. And to top it all off, she's a yogi and a mom! So, in this episode, we chat about women in business and society at large, how to be both a business owner and a great mom, and how yoga and meditation help us integrate all of our many aspects into one balanced, vibrant life.
Time sure does fly when you’re having boat loads of fun, doesn’t it? Well, another year is coming to an end, and what have you done with your time?
I’m guessing the answer to that question is: a lot! That's why it's time to take stock of all this year's wins and losses and prepare ourselves to level-up in the new year to come. To help you honor this special occasion that only comes once a year, I've created for you not one but 2 free gifts! But before you jump into those, take a deeper dive on both of your free goal setting and planning resources with Scott and me in a new episode of The MOJO Show.
I always feel very blessed to have the luxury of working the schedule I do - for those of you that don't know, I work 3 days a week. When I made the decision to work such a limited schedule it included making many changes. Some were financial, some were personal. But the bottom line was, it was best for me. For more reasons than going on a money budget, it was also a brain budget.
It's another Startup Edition of The MOJO Show! This week we're coming to you from Blue Startups in Honolulu, HI with Bello Silitshena, CEO of The Condo App. We talk about working your passion, entrepreneurial grit, breath work for insomnia, and yoga as a mindset.
Happiness: it's something for which we spend a lot of time and energy striving and searching. In our culture, happiness is something to be pursued. Yet, science has long demonstrated that happiness tends to be more of a propensity than a result. So, if happiness does indeed come from within, can we do anything to increase our propensity for it? Well, I believe yoga says absolutely yes!
The holidays always sneak up on us here in Hawaii. The still balmy weather always makes the traditional holiday decorations seem odd and out of place. Yet, Team MOJO still likes to get in on the celebrations however we can. And so we bring to you this week a special Thanksgiving Podcast Party, with every member of Team MOJO in attendance! Join us for egg nog (spiced up), a gluten-free pumpkin pie with macadamia nut ginger streusel recipe, gratitude practice tips, and of course plenty of laughs. Pour yourself a cup of nog and join the fun.
This week we have a special guest posting from Kelsey Struble. She is an avid yogi who began her practice at home, and prefers to keep it that way. Maybe some of you readers can relate?
lus, get the latest update from the ladies of Team MOJO on a brand new video edition of The MOJO Show. We're working on how to promote our business in our accelerator program, and we've got some tips for our fellow yoga teachers and entrepreneurs on how to market yourself without the ick-factor. Spoiler: there are farts involved.
We need your help. MOJO Yoga aspires to become your hands-down-favorite-website-ever, but in order to do that, we need your input. You can either set up a time to talk to a real live person, or receive a set of questions via email.
We're late. We're late. We're late for an important date! What date is that? Why, our 3rd quarter goals review, that's what! Now, I must say that we here at MOJO HQ have very good reason to be tardy on our official goals review with you, but we can't tell you why just yet. Believe us, you'll love it, and it has everything to do with our own goal setting practices. So be sure to stay tuned for some exciting new happenings coming very, very soon. Until then, though, mum's got to be the word. So, please enjoy this rebroadcast of last year's Sprint to the Finish, including a fresh Goals Review Template for you to download and utilize absolutely free! You can thank me by kicking some ass in your own goals for the home stretch of this year...and beyond. :)
This week we bring to you our conversation with the artist behind HAFU Designs and one of our favorite MOJO Members Tonia Senoo. She's a Jill of all Trades: a stay at home mom (or SAHM of course), a wife, a prolific and accomplished artist, a pilot, a Jazzercize instructor, a real estate investor, and so much more. Tonia is really living what we call the MOJO Life! Learn all about how she does it, and how she keeps her mindset right with her own approach to yoga in Episode 54 of The MOJO Show.

Well, we’ve got a remedy for you right here this week in our special interview with Shannon Algeo. He’s one of our newest teachers in the MOJO premium library over at myMOJO.tv, and we are positively giddy to have him join us.
We all love our yoga pants, that much is pretty clear. But, we’re not going to get too far in our fancy pants if our attention span stops at the seams.
That’s right friends, this week we’re diving into our mid-year goals review, plus taking a look at the current state of Yoga in America. And I must say, there were surprises in both for me. Let’s hope all our surprises are all pleasant!
It seems nearly everything in the universe has its cycles of beginning, peak, and passing away into a new form to begin once again. Plants, animals, people, galaxies, and even energy dynamically cycle in this way. That's exactly what we're doing here at MOJO as we shed some old skin to enter a brand new phase with fresh energy and a shiny new look!
Spring has sprung and plenty of mojo is in the air. I’m betting that you, like me, have plenty of spring cleaning projects on your mind. And, like it or not, the coming of spring also means that the first quarter of the year is pretty much in the books, calling on us to pause and reflect for a moment. After all, just as you might do that big spring (or other seasonal) cleaning, go to the doctor for a periodic check-up, or even take your car in for a tune-up, it’s ever so wise to do a lifestyle design and goals check-in on the regular. And that’s just what I’m going to help you do this week!
This week, MOJO Mob, we need your help. You see, we always want to hear from you, and love it when we do. But this week in particular, we really want to hear your thoughts to help us better serve you through MOJO in the future. So, pretty please, take a few moments to let us know what’s on your mind. It’ll really help us out. Thanks a million!
This week we’re taking a look at simple ways to put things in proper perspective, as it’s just so darn easy to get caught up in the toils of life, make mountains of molehills, or even start to think of ourselves as grand masters of the universe. Living can be exhausting like that, right? That’s why you and I do this work with yoga, meditation, and personal development. It always draws us back to a place of equanimity, balance, and the inner peace that comes from freeing ourselves of the grip of emotional and circumstantial extremes. This week’s blog and podcast shed more light on this critical aspect of our practices.
What's your routine when you're down? We give a lot of attention to our everyday routines in building our ideal MOJO Life of greater health and happiness. Yet, how much thought have you ever given to what happens when you crash and burn? Whether due to illness, or a physiological condition, or a mental or emotional nosedive, we all go down from time to time. And I'd be willing to bet that you have a "down routine," meaning a set of comfort behaviors that you default to in a physical, mental, or emotional wreck. So, what is your down routine?
This week's most popular episode presents for us a topic that is hopefully as helpful for you as it has been for me, especially as we start to enter the grind period of the year: where we feel pretty far from our new year’s goal setting and still so far from the finish line. Whenever I start to drag and want to quit, or happen to tumble right of the good life wagon altogether, I just remind myself of the essence of this post. We might be damned if we do, but we’ll most certainly be damned if we don’t. So we might as well do, and get our mojo working once more!
I think it’s safe to say we’ve all gotten a prescription from a doctor at some point in our lives. For most of us, it’s quite easy to follow along with taking it, too. I mean, under the authority of a doctor it feels fairly obligatory to take the prescribed medicine, or even foolish not to, doesn’t it? But what about our own prescriptions?
This is such an appropriate topic for all of us as we enter the second month of a new year: precisely the time when it gets really tough to stick with our goals that we set in January. Keeping the gunas in mind when it comes to our goals can help us stick with it for the long haul and make tremendous progress.
This week, we bring you another super special treat in the form of a free peek into the Find Your MOJO Challenge! Today's exercise is to give mojo to someone else in the form of random acts of kindness. So, watch today's challenge video and listen to The MOJO Show to learn more about how you can give mojo to others today.
